Itchy-O Brumalia Tour 2019 *Super Fan Adventure!*
Last year, we followed Itchy-O for a whirlwind adventure as they toured Albuquerque, Arizona, Los Angeles, and Berkeley.
Though Arizona was private and we couldn't attend, we had the most incredible time catching the other shows and turning this into the trip of a lifetime!
During the current crisis, Itchy-O is releasing their professional video of one show every Saturday night on Youtube and this weekend begins their reliving of this tour! We decided to relive it too and share our documentation of this experience.
You may recognize some of the footage as part of Liv's Life Day Extravaganza!
If you'd like to catch one of the Itchy-O shows, go subscribe to their Youtube channel and hop online on Saturday at 8pm!

Tampa trip! Pirates, roosters, a Spookeasy, and more!
In early February, we left a snowy and cold Denver for a weekend getaway in Tampa! The main purpose of our trip was to take part in the Knights of Sant’ Yago Illuminated Knight Parade as guests of the Krewe of Sir Francis Drake. The parade is a smaller version of the famous Gasparilla parade. (See the bottom of the description for links to people and places mentioned.)
We arrived in Tampa on Friday and went immediately to Pirate Fashions to upgrade our pirate costumes. The store is amazing and we both spent way too much money.
After that, we went to Clearwater. I had heard that they have lots of street performers and stuff in the evenings. We got there in time to catch a spectacular sunset. We only saw one street performer, but did get to enjoy some live music at a taco place.
After checking in to out hotel in Ybor City, we walked around a bit. We just happened to find a really cool and creepy speakeasy that was called the Spookeasy Lounge.
Early the next morning, we left our hotel and immediately ran into one of the famous wild roosters that roam Ybor City. We visited the local market where we ran into Jen from Buddy Bandanas. She is the original creator of Buddy Bandanas back in 2006 and now there are several copycats. You should definitely find her on Facebook if you are interested in quality bandanas for your pets!
We also had brunch at Gaspar's Grotto, where Liv also got to ring the world's largest tip bell!
Before long, it was time for the Illuminated Knight Parade! We were guests of the Krewe of Sir Francis Drake. They created the world's first fully accessible float. It was great to meet the Krew behind this welcoming float and walk in the parade with them.
After the parade, we checked out some after parties before finally calling it a night.
In the morning, we had breakfast and visited my uncle, aunt, and cousins before going back to Clearwater for a pirate themed cruise.
After the cruise, we had to leave the warm weather of Tampa and head back to a snowy Denver.

Gasparilla Sant' Yago Knight Parade (2020)
#Gasparilla #KnightParade #YborCity
This year we experienced our first taste of the famous Gasparilla season in Tampa by being guests of the Krewe of Sir Francis Drake in the Krewe of Sant' Yago Illuminated Knight . This parade takes place at night in Ybor City, two weeks after the 'big' Gasparilla parade.
We discovered the Krewe of Sir Francis Drake when Liv was researching online about ADA seating for the parade. She didn't find much info on the official parade site, but she came across a story about the first ADA compliant and fully accessible float in the US. This float was created by the Krewe of Sir Francis Drake. She quickly reached out to them and arranged for us to be guests of the Krewe for the parade.
The experience of the parade was crazy fun. The entire Krewe was so very kind and welcoming. The atmosphere was full of smiles and happiness.
In our video, we cover everything from the parade staging, walking with the float in the parade, walking back along the parade route, and the after parties. It was a fantastic night and it shows!

Note: Before the parade, we visited Pirate Fashions. The pirate staff was extremely helpful in preparing our costumes. We ran into one of them at the parade. For more info about them:

Birthday Weekend in Seattle – Part 1
Since our birthdays are close together, we often like to take trips around that time. This year, we decided to go to Seattle. We crammed in a lot over that weekend, and this video is only part one.
We were able to check into our hotel early (the Hotel Warwick) on Saturday morning. Liv had arranged with them for a little surprise for Patrick's birthday. Notice what Patrick says about the sparkler and you'll see why that is something to remember for Part 2 of our Seattle VLOG.
We started off exploring Pike Place Market. There were lots of shops, some buskers, the famous Gum Wall, and we even found a cool little shop called Ugly Baby. Patrick was happy to be told about Honest Biscuits for lunch. They make great biscuits and the owner is from North Carolina.
After lunch, we explored a bit more including Northwest Tastings, a wine tasting room in Pike Place Market.
Later on, we checked out Starbucks Reserve Roastery for some coffee infused cocktails before finishing the night at Unicorn — an eclectic bar that was also one of the filming locations in Macklemore's Thrift Shop video.

Seattle Birthday Weekend – Part 2
Our birthdays are close together, so we like to celebrate by taking a trip. This year we chose Seattle, a city new to both of us. Make sure you check out Part 1 for the first day of our adventure in Seattle!
On Sunday, we spent time with a friend at the Fremont Sunday Market and checking out the Fremont Troll.
After that, we went our own way and visited the Pop Culture Museum. It has exhibits on sci-fi, fantasy, and horror genre movies. It also highlights Seattle favorites, Pearl Jam and Nirvanna. I was surprised and pleased to see a section dedicated to Prince as well.
Next up was the famous Chihuly Garden and Glass Exhibit. It is so visually stunning! We even made a separate video just for Chihuly – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WsumGthSZ8I
In the evening, we checked out a Tiki bar called Hula Hula and the view of Seattle from a rooftop bar. We capped off the day with some pho soup.
In the morning, we set off the fire alarm by accident at the hotel while celebrating with some birthday sparklers. That was, um… exciting!
We then made our way to the Waterfront via Pike Place Market. After a quick stop to Ye Olde Curiosity Shop, we then joined an Underground Tour.
And that was the end of our trip!

An English wedding, Sherlock Holmes, Abbey Rd and more! (England Travel Vlog Part 6)
In the final installment or our England Travel Vlog series, we highlight the wedding of Liv's cousin. But we also got in some more sightseeing before the big day. We ventured into London and visited 221B Baker Street and Abbey Road – home of the famous Abbey Road Studios and crosswalk.
But much of the weekend was filled with family time. Relatives from South Africa and America flew in for the big day. In addition to the wedding, the family also had a BBQ for everyone. The wedding was at the Syon House Great Conservatory — a beautiful location and an unforgettable evening.

Bekonscot Model Village (England Travel Vlog 5)
We only had a half day before a family BBQ, so we decided to check out Bekonscot Model Village and Railway in Beaconsfield. This miniature village and model railroad is considered the grandfather of mini villages. It first opened in 1929 and has attracted over 14 million visitors. The village depicts 1930s England and has an several model trains running throughout.
